TH 313: Creation to New Creation

"The purpose of this course, following TH 210, is to provide a systematic orientation to the second half of the field of Christian Theology and re-creation. The course will cover the doctrines of creation, humanity, sin, Christ's work, the Church and last things. The discipline of theology will be approached as a practice of the church, carried out for the benefit of the life of the church, its proclamation and its service to the world."

Research Paper

According to Dr. Nyman's syllabus, the research paper must include:

  • An introduction to the issue under consideration
  • A concise overview of position (P) as advocated by a prominent theologian (or group of theologians, or theological tradition)
  • A concise overview of a position contrary to P as advocated by another prominent theologian (theologians or tradition)
  • Your theological evaluation in light of opposing voices
  • Your attempt to answer the original essay question in light of your analysis
