Different instructors and disciplines require different citation styles. Chicago Turabian and APA are the most commonly used at Prairie College. Written Composition (HF 110) teaches APA which is used primarily for Nursing, Psychology, and Sociology courses. Thinking and Writing (HF 111) teaches Chicago Turabian which is primarily used in Bible, Theology, and Humanities courses. Make sure to check your syllabus or confirm with your instructor which style they prefer, as these are only general guidelines. Some instructors allow you to choose the style you are most comfortable with.
